Getting Wild (in a good way)

Animal Print. 

It's such a beautiful thing but it's far too often misused and abused. 

Mixing animal prints is frequently the place where people make the jump from the afore-mentioned (lesser) offense to down right heinousness.

It's completely natural to heed to the callings from the wild, but it can be, quite frankly, disastrous if you engage in animal print poaching. 

There's one rule that applies to both aficionados and newbies to the wild print arena; less is more. Putting on either the fur of a dead animal (shame on you) or a fabric that imitates fur's likeness is already a statement enough—no need to go crazy. 

Above, I'm wearing a green leopard print blouse with, you guessed it, snake print earrings. The reason this works is because both patterns (especially on the earrings) are very subtle. You can imagine that if the blouse were the real leopard—fur color, things may have gotten a little out of control.

So, next time you take a trip to the wild side remember to keep it simple lest you assault the eyes of passers—by.
