It's business with a twist....
What's going on here and why?
I went to a career fair that day and the dress code was business wear. I would argue that simple elegance is your best bet in the work place. You don't want to be distracting, but at the same time, you don't want to be completely boring.
This time I started with white, criss-crossed and peep toe heels. From there, I tried to think about what would best compliment the shoes without overpowering them. In this case, that ended up being a just-below-the-knee, box-pleat skirt. To finish up, I tucked in my ruffled, scooped neckline white blouse with a small pearl necklace. I originally had a grey cardigan with the outfit but sometimes weather supersedes optimal style.
The yellow ray-bs add a fun kick for when this outfit transitions from indoors to outdoors!
To go extra corporate, consider a pencil skirt and pointed-toe heels.
Fondly,
